Winter in Vermont

I keep putting up pictures that seem to keep us in a perpetual fall season. But we are having a terrific winter. The snow is relentless and lovely and we approve of it's generous presence. Everything about Vermont seems to compliment the proportions of white -- the country road, the trees, the animals, the hills, the old homes and vast farm properties. It fits my romantic sensibilities perfectly.

Sledding -- another excuse to get loud and goof off!

Finding a companionable walking stick on an icy country road.

Snowy mornings waiting for the bus with Des.

High snow drifts challenging little legs.

Walking up the drive after getting off the school bus. It's a BLIZZARD out there!

...

He Turned 7, She Turned 5

Such audacity, AGING! It really pushes at my resistance of change. And yet I can think of a thousand counter-arguments for change. But, yes, I sometimes oppose change. I'm working on it.

This little boy gave a cheer when he sited his rewards for changing.

This little girl stared and took change in thoughtfully.

His first Lego set -- he's all-American now.

A horsey dream come true.

Can't beat 'em, join 'em.
(oh! a painful cliche -- sorry!)
